Palazzo Santa Caterina - Taormina

I really like the breakfast. Unlimited breakfast. But somehow salty..Coffee, hot choco were excellent. 4th floor view was also breathtaking. The location from interbus bus stop is really really close. Just Next. That was best.

The location of the hotel adjacent to the bus depot and also the cable car to the beach. The restaurant had a wide variety of foods for all tastes. Very helpful reception personnel - maps of locality and details of tours to be booked. Pool area secluded - pool very clean and helpful attendant.

Pool not children or non swimmer friendly. Jacuzzi often broken and freezing cold when in use. Room small and balcony tiny. No bar service after midnight

Reception staff very unpolite.He refused to disscus with us about the room which was under expectation.We left the hotel(meaning the anexe they gave us )after one day!

Good bar with good entertainment at night , value for money. The hotel is situated right next to the bus station and you can get the bus from the airport for €7 as a taxi can cost €80

The pool was extreamly deep! Also because we stayed in the annex building we had to climb a very steep hill to get to the main building of the hotel . This Hotel is not wheelchair friendly as has a lot of steep hills and steps.

After we complained on the second day about the standard of our room, the fifth room we were offered (yes fifth) in the annex to the main hotel was of a high standard. The four rooms in the main hotel were of a poor standard. The pool area was clean and a nice area to spend time in. Staff were helpful and courteous.

Room quality in main hotel not four star. Carpets badly stained and generally an unpleasant odour in the rooms and hallways. Sound insulation between rooms almost nonexistent. On our first night I could actually hear the person in the room next door washing their teeth. Breakfast was included in our package but we only breakfast once due to the poor quality of the food provided.

Location was just perfect, walking distance to everything, the cable car and the main via del Corso. Tucked up behind the main bus depot made it so simple to get on 1 bus from the airport and be delivered to the door. And it was still quiet. Being in the seperate building was a little strange, but nice and private and away from families and tour groups. My room was modest, but large size bathroom with a bath tub and air con worked well. Grounds were pleasant to relax in and the pool was a big plus as the sea water was really cold and full of jelly fish. buffet breakfast was very impressive, particularly for the inclusive price. And the views were breathtaking!

Internet was only available in the lobby, but the ticket was for wifi so i could work off my laptop so that was good. Other than that, no complaints from me.

This hotel was excellent. The location is the most convenient in taormina town. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the view from the rooms was fantastic. We had our own chairs , table, sun lounger and unusually for a european hotel, tea making facilities. The rooms are a good size and the air conditioning works very well , a must in the height of the summer. The hotel has a wonderful pool area including a jacuzzi and it is a wonderful place to relax. Highly recommended

Only a tiny complaint . The rooms were cleaned very late in the afternoon so if you were at the pool you might end up lurking waiting for the cleaners to finish !

The swimming pool of the hotel is good, clean but not very child friendly (it's too deep for most adults to reach the floor). The staff are knowledgeable on the area and are quite helpful. The best bit about this hotel is it is just at the end of the main streets of Taormina, close to the cable car and right next to the bus station. This is great because the main streets get incredibly busy and noisy, so it's nice to be tucked out of the way within a short walking distance. The breakfast has good choice, typical of what you'd expect in an Italian hotel.

The pool "boy" isn't always around so it's difficult to get towels for the pool immediately, we waited around 20-30 minutes. The hotel isn't very friendly for people with lots of luggage as it's on a hill and there are a few steps which need navigating. However, it is worth the extra effort and it may be possible to ask for assistance with your luggage. The bathroom needs a drastic update. The shower is good, however they have old shower curtains, which let the water go onto the bathroom floor. The amenities provided in the bathroom are not comparable to other 4* hotels, very basic and limited. Beds aren't very comfortable.

The reception staff were very helpful and keen to accommodate us- especially Maurizio. They gave us late check-out at no extra charge! The breakfast is excellent and the pool really lovely and relaxing. We have nothing negative to say about the hotel apart from all the steps to get to the entrance (from the bus station), but there is a temperamental lift if you prefer. The hotel is at 5-6 minute walk from the main Corso which is perfectly acceptable.
